Scottish AI describe the “So You’re Thinking of Using AI” workshop as the first step on your AI adoption journey.

Designed for busy SMEs and social enterprises, this free 2‑hour workshop explains what AI is (without the jargon), where it can help with day‑to‑day work (customer queries, admin, comms, data tidying), and how to get started safely and responsibly.

You’ll learn about how AI can benefit organisations like yours, learn proportionate governance and risk basics, and create a simple first‑steps action plan you can implement straight away. We’ll also signpost you to the Scottish AI Playbook and further free support – training, peer sessions and hands‑on help- offered through the National AI Adoption Programme for SMEs, funded by the Scottish Government.

This workshop is ideal for organisations in rural areas, traditional industries and the foundational economy, including those with little to no data infrastructure. No prior AI experience required. Sessions are in person, with limited capacity to allow for discussion and questions.
